What’s the difference between Laminate and Hardwood?

Laminate is a man made product, which is made up of different compounds to create a stronger, harder wearing and more durable product making this the ideal choice for the heavy traffic areas within the home. The make-up of a laminate is a HDF (high density fibre) backing with a specific decor, then coated in a number of layers of lacquer to protect the surface.

Hardwood is cut from a tree, machined then finished in many different styles such as Lacquer, Brushed, Oiled and Stained. The beauty of a real wood is that it can be sanded and re-finished, ensuring a unique and stylish feel to your home.
