What’s the difference between Laminate and Hardwood?
Laminate is a man made product which is made up of different compounds to create a stronger, harder wearing and more durable product. Ideal for the heavy traffic areas within the home. The make-up of a laminate is a HDF (high density fibre) backing with a specific decor then coated in a number of layers of lacquer to protect the surface. Hardwood is cut from a tree, machined then finished in many different styles such as Lacquer, Brushed and Oiled and Stained. The beauty of a real wood is it can be sanded and re-finished in time, another feature for real woods is it a unique product to the end user as each piece is different.
